Preview: Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks vs. Pleasanton Blu-Jays
The Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Pleasanton Blu-Jays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Jayhawk Linn's 15-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. The contest between them and Northeast wasn't particularly close, with Jayhawk Linn falling 62-43. Jayhawk Linn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Jayhawk Linn saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bryton Spencer, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Broyles, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, Pleasanton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They skirted past Crest 53-51.
Jayhawk Linn has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Pleasanton, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Jayhawk Linn came up short against the Blu-Jays in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 59-46. Can Jayhawk Linn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
