Preview: New Albany vs. Byhalia
On Friday New Albany take on Byhalia at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
After a string of three wins, New Albany's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. It was close but no cigar for New Albany as they fell 23-26 to Senatobia. New Albany got a solid performance out of senior Loden Bolen, who accumulated 221 passing yards and picked up 67 yards on the ground; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Bolen has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 7 games.
Meanwhile, after a big victory against Coldwater two weeks ago, Byhalia came back down to earth. Byhalia suffered a grim 26-49 defeat to Corinth. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Corinth enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
New Albany took their contest against Byhalia the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 42-14 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Albany since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
