Basketball Recap: Wolfe City Comes Up Short

Wolfe City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-30 loss at the hands of the Ford Panthers. The Wolves were probably out for revenge after losing 49-28 to them when the teams met back in December of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Wolfe City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Adams dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. That was a full 43.3% of Wolfe City's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Wolfe City's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Ford, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Howe the next time they take the court. Ford will head out to face Howe at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Wolfe City will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
