It was a proper cat-fight when Eastbrook duked it out withAlexandria-Monroe on Friday. Eastbrook fell just short of Alexandria-Monroe by a score of 52-49. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastbrook's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bodie Howell, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, and Jayden Younce, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Howell a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Aupperle, who had eight points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They managed a 61-55 victory over the Eagles. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oak Hill found their leader in sophomore Jace Tonagel, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 22 points along with seven assists and four steals. The game was Tonagel's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Cruzan, who put up 11 points and three steals.
Oak Hill pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Eastbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Eastbrook has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 22.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Oak Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Eastbrook lost to Oak Hill on the road by a decisive 53-39 margin in their previous matchup back in January.
