Basketball Recap: Nash Central Takes a Loss

Nash Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Rocky Mount Gryphons, falling 75-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-47 back in January.

Rocky Mount was led to victory by Brelyn Moses and Anthony Jones. Moses posted 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Jones dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. The match was Moses' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kelijah Evans was another key player, putting up eight points.

Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Rocky Mount, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Nash Central will welcome Northern Nash at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Nash will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Nash Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rocky Mount, they will venture away from home to face off against Roanoke Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
