Basketball Recap: Girard College Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Girard College won the last time they faced Foundation Collegiate Academy and Amadu Mansaray did his part to make sure it happened again. The stars were shining brightly for the Cavaliers in a 58-42 win over the Knights on Tuesday thanks in part to Mansaray, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Raheem Devlin was another key player, putting up ten points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Girard College is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Foundation Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Girard College will be home for the holidays to greet Germantown Friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Foundation Collegiate Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Kohelet Yeshiva at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foundation Collegiate Academy will need to watch out since Kohelet Yeshiva has now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
