Basketball Recap: Miller Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Miller can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Notre Dame Titans and fell 67-7. The defeat leaves the Falcons still looking for their first win on the season.

Emma Lanning was Miller's leading scorer, having posted six points. Lanning also led the team in rebounds with five.

Notre Dame's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaylyn Darden, who went 7-for-8 on her way to 17 points and six steals. That's the most points Darden has posted since back in December of 2024. Laney Strickland was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Notre Dame, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Miller does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Notre Dame, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 50-24 win against East on the 14th.
