Softball Recap: Patrick Henry Wins Going Away Against Delta

After only two runs in their last matchup, Patrick Henry made sure to put some runs up on the board against Delta on Thursday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 10-4 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Faith Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Kasey Nelson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Brooke Scherdt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Patrick Henry has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Delta, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Patrick Henry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-6 victory against Liberty Center on the 13th. Delta has also already played their next game (against North Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
