Volleyball Recap: Logos Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Logos Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers, falling 3-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.

Christin Newman paced Logos Prep Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Newman got some help from Emma Rose Lieke and her 16 assists. Lindsey Legrand controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lutheran South Academy found their leader in sophomore Charlie Marsico, who had seven digs and five assists.

Logos Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-14-1. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Logos Prep Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Bay Area Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy will square off against rival Fort Bend Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
