Softball Recap: Tatum Takes a Loss

Tatum fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Gladewater on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gladewater Bears by a score of 11-10. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Noa Cart spent all 8.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and four unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up 12 Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Camryn Milam made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Audrey Parsons was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Tatum's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Gladewater, their win bumped their record up to 6-9-1.

While Tatum had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
