Basketball Recap: Kyleigh Stonerock Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Spring Creek

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairmont, Midway was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They secured a 22-17 W over the Spring Creek Gators. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Midway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyleigh Stonerock, who posted four points and 15 rebounds. Stonerock is becoming a predictor of Midway's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is 3-1 (and 3-5 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Herring, who had eight points and 13 rebounds.

The win got Midway back to even at 6-6. As for Spring Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Midway has already played their next game (against West Bladen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Spring Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-31 victory against Rosewood on the 15th.
