Basketball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They took a 63-49 bruising from the Axtell Wildcats.

Brandt Modlin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Axtell, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 18 boards. Modlin has become a key player for Axtell: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jacob Halvorsen, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Axtell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-13.

Ravenna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Axtell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-52 win against Pleasanton on the 27th.
