Softball Game Preview: Oelwein Huskies vs. Hudson Pirates

The Oelwein Huskies will square off against the Hudson Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Oelwein will be strutting in after a victory while Hudson will be coming in after a loss.

Oelwein is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Waukon 16-3 on Friday. The Huskies have beaten the Indians the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Indians has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Hudson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Jesup by a score of 9-8 on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Oelwein's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
