Recap: North Stafford Wolverines vs. Mountain View Wildcats
The North Stafford Wolverines were the 48-28 winner over the Mountain View Wildcats when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Stafford was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 39-38 to Mountain View. North Stafford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North Stafford's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Daysha Salgado, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Destinee Salgado who scored ten points along with six steals and three blocks. Salgado is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Maia Joseph, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
North Stafford has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Mountain View, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
North Stafford will challenge Colonial Forge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stafford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stafford is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
