Soccer Recap: Ripley Comes Up Short

Ripley and Leake Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Ripley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Leake Central Gators , falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Gators are ranked 33rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Ripley and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Leake Central, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2-1.

As of now, neither Ripley nor Leake Central have any future games scheduled.
