Basketball Recap: Hiawatha Collegiate Takes a Loss

If Hiawatha Collegiate was feeling good fresh off their 98-61 takedown of Christ's Household of Faith last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hiawatha Collegiate took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul Central Minutemen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hiawatha Collegiate of the 76-69 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Hiawatha Collegiate now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Paul Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hiawatha Collegiate will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. St. Paul Central will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Byron at 3:45 p.m. on December 27th.
