Basketball Recap: Brillion Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Emma Schuh and Amaya Brooks

After flying high against Roncalli last Thursday, Brillion came back down to earth. The game between the Brillion Lions and the Valders Vikings didn't end well, with the Brillion Lions falling 60-44. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 64-50.

Despite the loss, Brillion had strong showings from Amaya Brooks, who went 6-for-15 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and five steals, and Emma Schuh, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Schuh is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Camden Hale, who posted eight points and three steals.

Brillion's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Valders, their record now sits at 14-6.

Coming up, Brillion will take on Kiel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valders has already played their next contest (against Kewaunee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
