Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Green Bobcats

The Eastern Eagles will square off against the Green Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastern comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Monday, Eastern ended up a good deal behind South Webster and lost 50-33.

Meanwhile, Green took their game last Monday with ease, bagging a 59-29 win over Manchester. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Eastern better keep an eye on Abbie Knapp. She was instrumental in Green's win, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 22 boards. Knapp's big performance that evening made it 25 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth McBee, who posted 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Green smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Green, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Eastern might still be hurting after the 58-38 loss they got from Green in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
