Wade Brashears of Lake Mary Prep is the Florida High School Football Player of the Week

Junior running back topped 300 yards on the ground last week.

After receiving more than 30,000 votes, Wade Brashears of Lake Mary Prep (Lake Mary) has earned MaxPreps Florida High School Football Player of the Week.

Brashears, a junior running back, carried 28 times for 303 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-24 victory over Calvary Chapel Academy (West Melbourne).

Here are the rest of this week's candidates, who collectively garnered more than 21,000 votes:

Wells Bettenhausen, Walton (DeFuniak Springs): Junior signal caller completed 21 of 26 passes for 406 yards and five total touchdowns in a 48-14 victory over Marianna.



Riley Blevens, Hudson: Senior quarterback connected on 17 of 23 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-6 victory over Sunlake (Land O' Lakes).

Luke Knight, Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel): Senior quarterback connected on 22 of 32 passes for 381 yards and four total touchdowns in a 57-27 win against River Ridge (New Port Richey).

Dalton Kolmetz, Walton: Senior running back hauled in eight receptions for 223 yards and one touchdown in a 48-14 victory over Marianna.

Walson Morin, Key West: Sophomore running back carried 17 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns in a South Fork (Stuart).

Jack Niemann, Cypress Creek (Wesley Chapel): Senior quarterback completed 15 of 22 pass attempts for 435 yards and seven touchdowns in a 55-0 triumph against Hollins (St. Petersburg).

Jayce Nixon, Gaither (Tampa): Junior quarterback completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 347 yards and four touchdowns in a 50-0 win over Bloomingdale (Valrico).



Corey Simms, Mitchell (New Port Richey): Sophomore running back ran for 295 yards on 13 carries for four touchdowns in a 41-0 blowout of The Villages Charter (The Villages).

Kyree Wilson, Christ's Church Academy (Jacksonville): Freshman running back carried 31 times for 247 yards and one touchdown, while hauling in two receptions for 45 yards and an additional score in a 19-14 win over Impact Christian Academy (Jacksonville).
