Baseball Recap: Auburn's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

While Auburn's win against East Syracuse-Minoa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Maroons skirted past the Spartans 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Myles McBride made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

McBride wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Adams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory snapped Auburn's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-11 record. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Auburn nor East Syracuse-Minoa have any future games scheduled.
