Soccer Recap: Riverbend Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Riverbend Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Redeemer Christian Lions, falling 6-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The victory (which was Redeemer Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Riverbend Academy will square off against Eastland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastland Christian knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Riverbend Academy likes a good challenge. Redeemer Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Calvary Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.
