Basketball Recap: Archmere Academy Takes a Loss

Archmere Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Forest Spartans. If the Auks were looking for revenge after losing 56-53 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Archmere Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lake Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Coming up, Archmere Academy will square off against Freire Charter at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Archmere Academy has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Lake Forest, they will face off against Laurel at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
