Basketball Recap: San Mateo Comes Up Short

San Mateo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 61-49 to the Leigh Longhorns.

Leigh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Le, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

San Mateo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Leigh, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

San Mateo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-41 victory against Branham on the 13th. As for Leigh, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-64 win against Santa Teresa on the 13th.
