Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington lost to Copper Canyon back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams lost 23-1 to the Aztecs.

Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Martinez Luna, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Rylan Evans also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Copper Canyon, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
