Basketball Recap: Ocean Springs Comes Up Short

Ocean Springs lost against St. Martin back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ocean Springs Greyhounds lost 56-32 to the St. Martin Yellow Jackets. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 15th).

Ocean Springs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for St. Martin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-2.

Ocean Springs has already played their next game (against Gulfport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Martin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-33 victory against Holmes County Central on the 18th.
