Burlington won the last time they faced Iola and things went their way on Friday too. The Burlington Wildcats came out on top against the Iola Mustangs by a score of 56-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Burlington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexa Splechter led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Mac Medlock, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Burlington's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Iola, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Santa Fe Trail the next time they take the court. Burlington will host Santa Fe Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Iola will head out to face them on Tuesday.
