Ponderosa beats Thomas Jefferson for their fourth straight win

Recap: Ponderosa Mustangs vs. Thomas Jefferson Spartans

The Ponderosa Mustangs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took down Thomas Jefferson 21-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ponderosa also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

Sean Davis was on fire: he rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.

Thomas Jefferson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Doren Sacha, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown. Sacha's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Even if they lost, Thomas Jefferson's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Keyshaun Ceaser and his two sacks.

Ponderosa's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Thomas Jefferson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-1.

Ponderosa will head out on the road to face off against Bear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bear Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Ponderosa is ranked 29th). As for Thomas Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Denver South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Denver South is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
