Volleyball Recap: SA Roosevelt Starts Season with Victory Against Sam Houston

SA Roosevelt took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Sam Houston Hurricanes as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Rough Riders haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 25-13.

Chelsea Amanquah paced SA Roosevelt's offense, picking up eight kills. Amanquah got some help from Julia Le and her 12 assists. Amanquah was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

SA Roosevelt will be taking part in a tournament against Alexander at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Sam Houston, they will take on John F. Kennedy in a tournament on Thursday.
