Softball Game Preview: East Union Urchins vs. Walnut Wildcats

For the second straight game, East Union will face off against Walnut. The Urchins are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Union will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, East Union got the win against Walnut by a conclusive 9-3. The Urchins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Walnut's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brittan Dawkins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

East Union pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.4 runs this season. As for Walnut, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
