Soccer Game Preview: Exeter vs. Firebaugh

The Exeter Monarchs will face off against the Firebaugh Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Exeter narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Monache 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Firebaugh). They walked away with a 4-2 win over Fresno Christian on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Firebaugh as they're now sitting on three straight.

Exeter now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Firebaugh, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Exeter skirted past Firebaugh 1-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Exeter repeat their success, or does Firebaugh have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
