If Claxton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Portal, they should've done a better job of containing London Blackmon. The Portal Panthers snuck past the Claxton Tigers with a 43-38 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Blackmon, who went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points and five steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Despite the loss, Claxton still got an impressive performance from Jayda Jordan, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. That was a full 65.8% of Claxton's points, marking the 16th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The win got Portal back to even at 8-8. As for Claxton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Portal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-24 victory against McIntosh County Academy on the 31st. Claxton has also already played their next game, a 57-39 loss against Emanuel County Institute on the 29th.
