Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. North Garland Raiders

The Lakeview Centennial Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the North Garland Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Lakeview Centennial came up short against Wylie East and fell 55-45. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Raiders are ranked 242nd).

Meanwhile, North Garland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 69-64 to Wylie. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeview Centennial and nudges their season record down to 11-19. As for North Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.

Lakeview Centennial lost to North Garland on the road by a decisive 67-52 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Lakeview Centennial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
