Baseball Recap: Dr. Phillips Comes Up Short

Dr. Phillips fell victim to Winter Springs and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Winter Springs Bears, falling 9-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dr. Phillips is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Winter Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Dr. Phillips will be taking part in a tournament against Evans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winter Springs, they will welcome Lake Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winter Springs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Lake Mary's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
