Yosemite took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Dos Palos, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Badgers skirted past the Broncos 6-4. This was payback for the Badgers, who suffered a 9-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jonah Smock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Yosemite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Olson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Olson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Yosemite now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Dos Palos, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Yosemite wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-0 defeat against Immanuel on the 14th. As for Dos Palos, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-2 loss against Sierra on the 15th.
