Basketball Recap: Penn Wood Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Penn Wood finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 45-29 bruising from the Cheltenham Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Panthers are ranked 123rd).

Penn Wood now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Cheltenham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Penn Wood nor Cheltenham have any future games scheduled.
