Lake Weir's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the St. John Lutheran Saints. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Skyler Courtney, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Elliott Fonseca also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Lake Weir's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for St. John Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Weir will face off against Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Weir is facing Leesburg at the right time seeing as Leesburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. John Lutheran, they will square off against Meadowbrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
