Soccer Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Whitman-Hanson Regional came into Tuesday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Marshfield Rams 1-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given Whitman-Hanson Regional's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Marshfield are ranked 69th).

Whitman-Hanson Regional's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Marshfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-2 record this season.
