Football Game Preview: Bellevue Redmen vs. Edison Chargers

For the first time this season, Bellevue will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bellevue's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Perkins on Friday. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Redmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Pirates are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Norwalk 45-14. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Edison and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.5 points over those games. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Bellevue lost to Edison on the road by a decisive 21-6 margin in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Redmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
