Morton faced Mascoutah in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Potters skirted past the Indians 2-1. The Potters have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Despite the loss, Mascoutah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bailey Seibert had 14 digs and two assists.

Morton is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Mascoutah, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.
