Preview: Douglas vs. South Umpqua
After two weeks on the road, Douglas is heading back home. They will square off against South Umpqua at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Douglas have been struggling to pick up a win, with their match against Hidden Valley last Friday making it eight winless games in a row. Douglas found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-43 punch to the gut against Hidden Valley. The state rankings had actually given Douglas a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, South Umpqua have to be aching after a bruising 24-56 loss to St. Mary's. South Umpqua were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 12-42.
Douglas suffered a grim 7-32 defeat to South Umpqua the last time the two teams met. Can Douglas avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
