Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Elgin's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Elgin proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the East View Patriots get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Elgin has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East View, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-11-2 record.

Elgin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
