North Star is a perfect 5-0 against Everett since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, North Star turned things around against Curwensville on Friday. They came out on top against the Golden Tide by a score of 45-37.

Bryson Durst was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of North Star's points. Walter Regetta was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Everett's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to West Branch last Friday. The Warriors took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-21 victory over Tussey Mountain. That 44-point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

North Star's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Everett, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.

North Star strolled past Everett when the teams last played back in February of 2025 by a score of 54-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
