Soccer Recap: Southwest Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Southwest pushed their score to eight the last time they played Young Men's Leadership Academy, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Southwest Raiders never let Young Men's Leadership Academy get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in February.

Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight contests. Young Men's Leadership Academy dropped their record down to 3-15-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest will take on Western Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they will square off against Carter-Riverside at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Young Men's Leadership Academy is facing Carter-Riverside at the right time seeing as Carter-Riverside is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
