Basketball Game Preview: Greenhill Hornets vs. Parish Episcopal Panthers

The Greenhill Hornets will face off against the Parish Episcopal Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Parish Episcopal will be up against a hot Greenhill squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Greenhill blew past Oakridge, posting an 82-47 victory. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Owls are ranked 1200th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Parish Episcopal entered their tilt with Liberty Christian on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 82-51 win over the Warriors. The Panthers pushed the score to 69-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Parish Episcopal's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-4. As for Greenhill, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.

Greenhill came out on top in a nail-biter against Parish Episcopal in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, sneaking past 32-29. Does Greenhill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parish Episcopal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
