Basketball Recap: Thornton's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thornton can now relate to. They fell 46-39 to the Montrose Red Hawks on Friday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Montrose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Ferguson, who went 8-for-15 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. CJ Rocco was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Thornton's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Montrose, their record is now 18-6.

Thornton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montrose, they will challenge Durango on Tuesday.
