Football Game Preview: Crater vs. Eagle Point

Eagle Point have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Crater at 7:00 PM. The two teams have set a high bar for this matchup after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.

If Eagle Point were riding high off their 52-17 takedown of Ashland two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Eagle Point suffered a grim 40-61 defeat to Churchill last Friday. Despite the loss, Eagle Point saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Devin Bradd rushed for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. This was the 6th match in a row in which Page had over 100 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Crater might be getting used to good results now that the squad have three wins in a row. They blew past Ashland 41-13. Followers of Crater probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Crater's win lifted them to 4-2 while Eagle Point's defeat dropped them down to 4-2. In their win, Crater relied heavily on junior Trever Davis, who passed for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns. Eagle Point will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
