Meanwhile, on WednesdayWashington Heights Expeditionary's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past Eagle Academy 9-7.

Wilson Infante was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits. Infante was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Carlos Vasquez was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lizmardo Arias, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
