Basketball Recap: Fort Collins Comes Up Short

Fort Collins played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Windsor Wizards, falling 61-23. The loss continues a trend for the Lambkins in their matchups with the Wizards: they've now lost seven in a row.

Fort Collins' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lydia Childs, who posted ten points, and Morgan Bandhauer, who put up two points and five rebounds. Childs is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games she's played.

Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reyleigh Hess led the charge by going 5-for-6 en route to 12 points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Paityn Deselms, who scored ten points.

Fort Collins' loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Windsor, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Fort Collins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-36 win against Greeley West on the 18th. As for Windsor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-43 victory against Rocky Mountain on the 18th.
