Football Recap: Coram Deo Academy Find Success

The third road contest was the charm for Coram Deo Academy, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 48-35 win over the Mercy Culture Prep Royals on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Mercy Culture Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Seely, who threw for 141 yards and two TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Walker Hughes also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

The victory got Coram Deo Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Mercy Culture Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Coram Deo Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-6 win against Founders Classical Academy on the 26th. As for Mercy Culture Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 56-12 loss against First Baptist on the 26th.
