Holmes wins going away against Gates County

The Holmes Aces came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Gates County with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. That looming 61-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Holmes yet this season.

Jonathan Spears continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kendrick Kerr, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Holmes' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Gates County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
